Do I have to bring diapers and food to MaiKids?
This is not necessary, MaiKids provide diapers and food because these are included in the hourly rate. We offer Nutrillon I and II. If your child is allergic to the food/meals we provide (e.g. lactose intolerant, gluten, etc.) we ask you to bring the right food yourself. For islamic children we provide halal food/meals.

My child is at the KDV do I have to register separately for the BSO?
Yes that’s right because this care is different than for toddlers or babies. As soon as the registration form is received by us, we will try to let you know within one week whether the placement is possible.

What are marge days? Marge days are all days that the school is closed outside the (official) school holidays.

How are the opening hours calculated?
MaiKids daycare is open 51 weeks a year from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. This is 11 hours per day. 11 hours x 51 weeks x 5 days per week = 2805 hours. With 5 days of childcare, 233.75 (2850 / 12) hours will be charged monthly.
For the BSO, is counted from the first school that is collected. Example: in the school weeks on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the first school is done at 2.30 pm and on Wednesday and Friday at 11.30 am until 6.30 pm. That is 26 hours per week. During the holidays, the BSO is open from 8 am to 6:30 pm and on marge days from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.

1040 (40 school weeks x 26 hours per week)
117 (12 marge days x 6 hours + 15 marge days x 3 hours)
577.5 (11 weeks school holidays x 52.5 hours per week)
1734.5 per annum including mar days and holidays.

At 5 days after school care including marge days, 144.54 hours will be charged each month.

Do you also offer half-day care?
Yes, it is also possible from 7.30 am to 1 pm or from 1 pm to 6.30 pm.

Are you open all year? We are open for 51 weeks by default. The week between Christmas and New Year is closed, these hours are not calculated either. Because we divide the total number of opening hours per year by 12 months, you pay the same amount every month. Also in the month of December.

What does 49 weeks of childcare mean?
With 49 weeks of childcare you have the option to not use the childcare for two consecutive weeks during the summer holidays. These hours will then not be charged. The conditions of this product can be found here.
